Frequently asked questions

Absolutely! We welcome applications from individuals, informal groups and collectives. You will just need to have a bank account where we can transfer the funds to.

The application consists of the following:

  • A description of how the grant will be spent, which activity or activities you are planning and how they will contribute to furthering the primary objectives of the fund objectives.
  • A budget breakdown template for you to fill out and upload.
  • Contact information for you as an individual or if you’re applying through an organisation, the information and data of the organisation.

If you need to update your application after submission, please let us know via youth@umifund.org

Please note however, that due to the high volume of applications we will not be able to accept any applications submitted after the closing date (February 10th).

Grants are to support projects that can be delivered within 6 months of receiving the funds.

You will be asked to send a list and receipts of your expenses, along with a short description of activities, outcomes and how the grant has helped you achieve your goals. We will be particularly happy to receive photos or videos of your activities!

Your information will be processed by the steering committee, who will have access to your application until the reporting is collected and processed. Selected staff at UMI Fund and SCN will also have access to your application for the purpose of processing and granting.

You can get in touch with us via youth@umifund.org and we will find another way to receive the information that works for you.
